Giachino was established in 1927 as a fuel haulage company. |

1936 |
In 1946 Giachino was among the first transport companies to expand into the haulage of bulk bitumen by road tanker, thus gaining knowledge of and experience in the field of bitumen processing.
In 1977 Giachino begins marketing bitumen, with bitumen emulsion production starting a year later. |

1980 |
In 1980 the company becomes Giachino Bitumi SpA, concentrating on the production of bitumen and its derivative products.
The first modified bitumen production plant is built.
Development and testing of modified bitumen continues to 1985. The first application comes in 1987 with a contract to lay sound-deadening drainage layers on a major motorway network.
The first contracts for the application of MACROSEAL on motorways and highways managed by town and province authorities have made Giachino Bitumi European leader in its field. |

1993 |
In 1993 Giachino acquires the SEALOFLEX licence for Italy, a highly modified bitumen product used and well known throughout the world.
Relentless efforts for renewed excellence in the new millennium have resulted in a new innovative product line including FIBROSEAL, COLORSEAL and PLASTOX. |
