Macroseal

The success of Macroseal, applied on all road surfaces, continues unabated since 1985.
Macroseal microlayer, a cold-produced and cold-applied bitumen, seals and provides a rough outer skin to the wear layer of road surfacing, thus maximizing both life and traffic safety thanks to improved braking in wet weather.

Lower cost compared to traditional surfacing, greatly extended life and reduced thickness (6 mm) permit significant savings in both initial laying and subsequent maintenance costs and, above all, make for reduced recutting and resinking of manholes and sidewalks, thereby preventing costly clearance and disposal of special bitumen residues.
Moreover, Macroseal is a high-technology environment-friendly system:

Application

Moreover, Macroseal is a high-technology environment-friendly system:

cold produced
> no heating required (low energy consumption)

cold applied
> no emissions released

low thickness
> ore requirements reduced fivefold

Application
Macroseal = more than 28 million square metres laid
(25.5 million sq. m. on motorways, 2.5 million sq. m. on other roads)
